I have been in the fitness industry for fifteen years in various capacities. I was a personal trainer and fitness manager at 24 Hour Fitness in Las Vegas, exercise physiologist for a cardiovascular program for children, and a wellness coordinator for corporate benefit programs. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology and my Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and have received numerous certifications including Performance Enhancement Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Certified Personal Training certificates and Crossfit L1. I have always enjoyed being active and have competed in numerous 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, one marathon, one figure competition, and three Crossfit competitions (winning first place with teammate Sarah Alvarez in January 2015). I was introduced to High Intensity Interval Training in August 2012 and it has changed my life. The variety, camaraderie, and amazing trainers and athletes have kept me hooked and motivated to always be better than yesterday. I am married and have a three year old little girl and 18 month old triplet boys (yes they’re spontaneous and yes we’re done!). High Intensity Interval Training while pregnant with triplets enabled me to walk right in to the hospital at my scheduled delivery time without bedrest and other complications that many other moms of multiples experience. I strongly believe that the functionality of High Intensity Interval Training can help every single person, young and old, be better, move better, and age slower.
